Guided and Drop Camp Mule Deer Hunts with Oregon's Northside Outfitters

Our rifle deer season in Eastern Oregon is by controlled draw tag. The season generally runs from the 5th Saturday in September through to the 2nd Wednesday in October, about a 12 day duration. The deer we will be hunting are Rocky Mountain Mule Deer, with a legal buck being one with visible antlers. We normally run two five days hunts during this time with two hunters per guide. Our hunts will take place on private ranches or in the forest service, depending on what our preseason scouting has shown us.

Our goal is to place our clients in a position so they will have the best possible chance at the buck they are looking for. For many, this may mean the biggest buck possible and for others possibly, after their first deer; any buck will be a trophy. Many of the bucks our clients take range from 18 to 26 inches, but opportunities at bigger 30 inch or better bucks are always a possibility.
